A native of Sgt. Bluff, Iowa, Monica relocated to Florida in 1997.  She began her tenure with Longwood Veterinary Clinic in 1998, first as a  receptionist, then as the Practice Manager since early 2003.

Growing up in rural Iowa instilled a love of animals in Monica.  Her own menagerie (all rescues, of course) has included dogs, cats, rodents, birds, pot-bellied pigs, and lemurs.

In addition to her degree in Counseling, Monica has received extensive training in veterinary practice management.  She has found that keeping all our staff members moving in the right direction requires both the compassion of a therapist and the resourcefulness of a mother with 30 children!
