LVC Puppy Pre-K

Mondays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm – For puppies 8 weeks to 6 months of age

Bring your puppy, and your questions, to our new weekly Puppy Pre-K class!

The most critical age of socialization for puppies is between 3 and 20 weeks of age. Typically, the first 6 to 8 weeks of life are with mom and litter mates. This time is critical for development but socialization must not end there. The lessons learned during this socialization period will have life-long effects on a puppy’s personality and how they react to people, other animals, and environments outside their home.

Our Puppy Pre-K class, led by Jessica, one of our technicians, is a great opportunity for your puppy to socialize with other puppies and people at an important time in their development. While the class is open to puppies up to six months of age, the earlier you start, the better your success!

Puppy Pre-K includes:

* Off leash puppy play sessions.

* Exposure to new environments, people, objects, surfaces and sounds in a fun and positive manner.

* Instruction to help you prepare your puppy to accept routine procedures at home, veterinary hospital and grooming facility.

* Puppy parenting tips and education about normal canine body language, learning and problem solving common puppy issues.

We use lots of treats and toys during Puppy Pre-K to keep learning fun and positive. If your puppy has a favorite treat or toy, feel free to bring it along.
